What are Near Death Experiences (NDEs)? 😇
Near Death Experiences (NDEs) are profound personal experiences associated with dying and coming back to life, which researchers describe as having similar characteristics, including seeing bright lights, having Out-Of-Body Experiences (OBEs), and even undergoing ‘life reviews’. They are triggered during singular life-threatening episodes. There are some mind-blowing accounts of NDEs which this post discusses. This also links with our posts on life after death (that discusses common questions such as What happens? Where do we go? Do we see loved ones?) and past life memories (especially those from children who had no way of knowing the information provided), as well as interesting work from some mediums/psychics.
Near Death Experience Stories and Examples ✨
NDEs have become more frequent since developments in technology giving the ability to revive people from cardiac arrests and other critical conditions. In summary, people share similar experiences. These include:
- Experiencing ‘bed visits’ by passed loved ones when ill in hospital.
- Floating out of the body in an Out-Of-Body Experience (OBE).
- Whilst in an OBE, recalling details that happened in the hospital (the same room and other rooms) when they were meant to be dead.
- Still feeling like themselves (same awareness, memories, and personality/they did not dissolve into infinite consciousness), but experienced reality free from the filters of the brain and body.
- Seeing a bright white light/a tunnel of light/a tunnel with light at the end.
- Flying through space past stars and orbs.
- Being with others that died at the same time of the incident that caused the NDE.
- Having a life review, but they are the only judge of their life (not a judgmental figure or God) and experience how they made others feel, sometimes said to be learning with compassion.
- Being greeted with great love and excitement from passed loved ones (that look in their prime, often in their 30’s), the same way we are when we are born into this world, in a ‘heavenly realm’ that looks similar to Earth, but more vivid (e.g. a wider spectrum/shades of colours) and no physical restrictions (e.g. nothing ages or dies, things that can’t be done here can be done there etc.).
- Being reunited with pets.
- Meeting people that they have never seen before, but seeing them in family photos later in life, after the NDE.
- Seeing people that they thought were still alive, but finding out after NDE that they were dead.
- Being given messages to say to loved ones. A great example of this is an NDE where someone was told to tell another person who was still alive ‘sorry for ruining the car’, which she knew nothing about, but the other person knew exactly what was meant by this and the person in the NDE did ruin the car in a crash that killed them.
- Feeling a profound sense of peace and unconditional, infinite love.
- Feeling connected to all and everyone, including God.
- Learning that signs from god/the universe/spirit guides are the first initial intuitive thought/gut feeling, anything after that is your brain overthinking.
- Remembering pre-birth experiences of choosing this life (from choosing this planet, to your parents, to how you will look, to how bright you will be) for the experiences that would be gained, tailored to your soul’s growth/their soul’s current level of development/maturity (e.g. some may be better off not living as an extremely bright person as that would bring extreme arrogance, or not too good looking as they would be too easily distracted by the attention of others which doesn’t tick what they need).
- A knowing that life is to be lived to gain experiences, fulfil purpose, and to be enjoyed (some have explained this as ‘we are manifesting god wanting to play’).
- Life is a “training ground for the soul” where free-will and the “veil” that makes us forget pre-life allow for genuine growth).
- Learning valuable lessons to give meaning, purpose, and to live life to the full.
- Learning valuable lessons to give meaning, purpose, and to live life to the full.
- Learning that the meaning of life/our life purpose is to grow as a soul and become more godly; build positive traits love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, integrity, and service to others are essential for spiritual growth and lead to greater happiness beyond this life/ascend to higher realms.
It is also worth reflecting on the Double Slit Experiment that links to the Holographic Universe theory. This experiment shows that the act of consciousness observing matter affects the way that matter behaves. As such, leading physicists in the World Science Festival, as well as Elon Musk and former NASA physicist Tom Campbell believe that consciousness is the infinite source and reality is a simulation.
Near Death Experience Books and Videos 🎥
There are many renowned NDE books, including Eben Alexander’s near death experience book ‘Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife‘ and Raymond Moody’s ‘Life After Life: A Groundbreaking Exploration of Near-Death Experiences and the Transformative Insights into the Afterlife, Backed by Scientific Study and Personal Testimonies‘.
Also, there are a number of videos on NDEs below. These include the research, documentaries, experiences of cardiac surgeons, neurosurgeons, nurses and accounts from those that have experienced NDEs themselves (including near death experiences of heaven, seeing past loved ones, angels and God).
Video 1 – This Story Can Change How You Look At The World!
This NDE video shares the experience of a man named Greg which is summarized below.
1. Leaving the Body (Near Death Experience Begins)
- A man named Greg separates from his physical body after a hand-gliding crash and enters a non-physical realm of energy, light, and sound.
- He feels no pain or fear, as well as an intense peace, clarity, and heightened consciousness.
- Everything appears interconnected, vibrant, and alive like a universal symphony of energy.
2. Journey Through Space & Cosmic Realizations
- He travels through space at will, witnessing energetic structures of the universe and the “birth” of planets as living entities.
- He realizes that the universe is conscious and interconnected.
3. Encounter with Advanced Beings
- He met highly evolved beings (who reveal they were once his children in a past life).
- They teach him core spiritual principles:
- Life is about spiritual growth through physical experience (incarnation).
- Thoughts create reality (Law of Attraction).
- Everything is interconnected.
- Love is the fundamental force of the universe.
- Negative emotions (fear, greed, anger) hinder growth.
- Positive energy (love) advances both the individual and the universe.
4. Lessons Learned
- Every thought emits energy and attracts similar energy back.
- Humans are responsible for their own destiny.
- Reality is shaped by thoughts, intentions, and emotional charge.
- Life is like a feedback loop; what you send out returns to you.
- Spiritual and physical realms depend on each other.
5. Meeting His Soulmate
- He met a radiant female being, his soulmate who explained:
- Souls are created in pairs (“halves” of a whole).
- True soulmates form a complete energetic circle.
- Love must be balanced (giving and receiving).
- They merge energetically, experiencing profound unity and love.
6. Deeper Understanding of Existence
- All beings are part of a vast interconnected cosmic structure.
- Groups of souls evolve together across lifetimes.
- Reincarnation is a continuous process of growth.
- He visits Mars (a past-life connection) and a pristine, Earth-like planet (symbolizing harmony and balance).
7. Message About Earth
- Earth is polluted, suffering, and out of balance due to human actions.
- A higher presence told him that he can help by sharing what he learned; spreading love and awareness can positively affect the planet.
8. The Choice to Return
- He was asked whether he wanted to stay in the higher realm, or return to Earth.
- Though reluctant, he chose to return because he still has lessons to learn and has a purpose to fulfill.
9. Return to the Body
- He expected reincarnation, but instead returns to his same body in a hospital (6 days after the crash)
- He re-enters his body and wakes up, shocking doctors.
10. Summary of this NDE
- Consciousness continues after death.
- Reality is shaped by thoughts and emotions.
- Love is the fundamental force of existence.
- All beings are interconnected.
- Life on Earth is a learning experience.
- Humans are responsible for their own destiny.
- Spiritual growth happens through overcoming challenges.
Video 2 – What happens when you Die, Researching NDE
This video is an interview with Penny Sartori, a nurse who spent many years working in intensive care that later became a researcher into near death experiences (NDEs). Her interest began after repeatedly witnessing dying patients and one deeply emotional case where a conscious, suffering patient asked to be allowed to die peacefully. This experience, along with the patient’s death shortly after her shift, led her to question how end-of-life care is handled and to begin studying death and consciousness more systematically.
She explains that she conducted a five-year research project in intensive care units, interviewing patients after they regained consciousness. Initially, she found very few reported unusual experiences, but when she focused specifically on patients who had cardiac arrests (clinical death episodes), reports of near death experiences became more common. In total, she identified around 15 cases of NDEs, with some including out-of-body experiences.
To test claims of out-of-body perception, she placed hidden visual targets above hospital monitors that could only be seen from an elevated position. However, none of the patients who reported out-of-body experiences were able to identify them, even though some gave otherwise detailed accounts of events occurring during their unconsciousness. One notable case involved a patient who accurately described medical staff actions and conversations that occurred while he was deeply unconscious.
She also discusses cases where patients reported seeing deceased relatives or entering peaceful or distressing environments. Some experiences were described as deeply positive and transformative, while others were frightening, including hell-like visions that left lasting emotional impact. She suggests that near death experiences may not be purely hallucinations and could relate to consciousness not being fully generated by the brain, but possibly “filtered” by it (linking to the Holographic Universe theory).
Beyond research findings, she emphasizes the psychological impact of these experiences. Many patients reportedly become less afraid of death, more altruistic, and more focused on life’s meaning. She also discusses “deathbed visions” where dying patients appear to see deceased relatives shortly before death.
The research changed her own worldview, leading her to teach courses on consciousness and spirituality in healthcare and to continue exploring how these experiences affect human behavior and meaning-making.
Video 3 – God and the Afterlife: Latest Findings from the Largest NDE Study Ever Reported
In this video, Dr. Jeffrey Long discusses why near death experiences (NDEs) provide strong evidence for the survival of consciousness after death, based on patterns observed in thousands of cases (4,000+ NDE reports, with around a 40-question survey per experiencer). He defines an NDE as when someone is clinically close to death or unconscious (no heartbeat or breathing in some cases), yet still reports a structured, conscious experience. He emphasizes that people should not be able to have experiences when brain function is absent, yet they do.
Across cases, he says people frequently report:
- Out-of-body experience (seeing their own body from above).
- Heightened senses and awareness.
- Intense peace, love, and emotional clarity.
- Tunnel-like movement toward a light.
- Encountering beings or deceased relatives.
- Distorted sense of time (often “time doesn’t exist”).
- Life review (seeing past events vividly).
- A “boundary” where they may choose to return or not.
His research includes:
1. Cardiac arrest cases
- Brain activity should be essentially absent.
- Yet people report organized, vivid experiences.
- He argues this challenges purely brain-based consciousness theories.
2. Out-of-body observations
- Around 45% report seeing events while “outside their body”.
- He claims high accuracy; reports of around 90%+ verification in some studies he cites, including patients describing details of resuscitation or distant hospital areas.
3. NDEs under general anesthesia
- 23 cases where people had NDEs during surgery under anesthesia.
- This is incompatible with normal memory formation.
4. Blind people reporting vision
- Even people blind from birth report visual-like experiences during NDEs.
- Detailed spatial descriptions of the hospital or area of the event (colors, objects, scenes).
- This is hard to explain neurologically.
5. Cross-cultural similarity
- NDEs reported worldwide in similar patterns.
- Cultural background has little effect on core structure.
6. Life reviews and memory accuracy
- People report extremely vivid recall of past events.
- Often later verified by others.
- He interprets this as “perfect playback memory”.
7. Encountering deceased people
- Around 96% of encountered beings are deceased (not living people).
- Some cases involve people learning later that the person had died before the experience (they didn’t know that the person had passed away at the time of the NDE).
8. Shared NDEs
- There are rare cases where multiple people report a similar experience at the same time (e.g. Jeff Olsen’s car crash NDE, discussed further on in this post).
9. Aftereffects
- Less fear of death.
- Increased spirituality.
- Changed life priorities.
- A real transformative experience.
Video 4 – Raymond Moody: Near Death Experience as a Gateway to the Afterlife
In this video, psychiatrist and philosopher Raymond Moody discusses his experiences and research into NDEs. He coined the term “near death experience” (NDE) and had his own NDE in 1991 following a suicide attempt. He detailed this experience in his book ‘Paranormal‘, explaining it resulted from an undiagnosed thyroid condition affecting his mental state. He studied NDEs years before this and is best known for his 1975 book ‘Life After Life: A Groundbreaking Exploration of Near-Death Experiences and the Transformative Insights into the Afterlife, Backed by Scientific Study and Personal Testimonies‘, which brought NDE studies into the mainstream. His interest grew in college through Plato’s writings, especially the idea that consciousness might survive death, and deepened after meeting a psychiatrist who had experienced being clinically dead and revived.
Over his career, he says he interviewed thousands of people who had been close to death and reported remarkably consistent experiences across cultures. These commonly include:
- A feeling of leaving the body and observing it from above (often during resuscitation).
- Hearing medical staff declare them dead.
- A sense of hyper-real awareness rather than a dreamlike state.
- Passing through a tunnel into a brilliant light.
- Encountering a profound feeling of love and peace.
- Meeting deceased relatives or “beings of light”.
- A panoramic “life review” where they re-experience their actions, but from the perspective of others affected by them.
A key theme in the life review is empathy; people feel the emotional impact of their actions on others, which often leads them to conclude that the most important purpose of life is learning to love others.
The speaker also discusses “veridical” or shared experiences, such as bystanders or even doctors reportedly having similar perceptions during someone else’s death. He argues these cases are difficult to explain purely as brain hallucinations or oxygen deprivation.
He critiques the idea of “scientism” (the belief that science is the only valid way of knowing) and suggests that NDEs are better approached philosophically than purely scientifically. He argues that the consistency and depth of these accounts make the idea of consciousness surviving death at least plausible, and says he personally now believes there is some form of continued existence after death—though he does not insist others must accept this.
Finally, he reflects on the broader implications; that if an afterlife or continued consciousness is real, it would reshape how humans understand identity, morality, and learning. He suggests life may function like a “two-phase process” or even a kind of “theater” where experiences are structured for learning, especially learning love and empathy.
Video 5 – Dr. Eben Alexander talks about his Near Death Experience & Proof of Heaven
This is a video of Eben Alexander, who was a Harvard neurosurgeon that believed consciousness came from the brain (a self proclaimed skeptic of NDEs), until his illness. His experience is profound in a number of ways, including that the disease he had was a severe bacterial meningitis that put him in a coma for 7 days with very low survival chances. It shut off all parts of the brain, including the neocortex which is responsible for higher thinking , identity, sensation, action, cognition, and consciousness. Despite all of this, he reports entering vivid “other realms” that felt more real than waking life, ultimately experiencing a state of unconditional love and a divine presence.
He describes a multi-stage experience:
- “Earthworm eye view”
- A primitive, dark, foggy state with no memory of his life.
- He interpreted this as minimal brain function.
- Transition upward
- A spinning white light and music guided him upward.
- “Gateway Valley”
- A vivid, hyper-real world with landscapes, flowers, beings, and music.
- Felt “more real” than real life.
- Higher realms
- A progression into deeper levels of reality beyond space and time.
- Core realm
- Described as infinite darkness filled with unconditional love.
- Experienced a powerful presence he interpreted as a divine source/creator that communicated, “You are deeply loved, nothing to fear”.
Another profound part of his experience is the girl he met. He had never met her before, but later in life he connected with his real parents and there was a picture of the girl in the house. They explained that that was his sister who passed away.
He concludes that consciousness does not come from the brain, it is fundamental and exists independently of the body. Near death experiences suggest life continues after death. He also argues that science is beginning to move toward the idea that mind and consciousness are non-material and universal, and encourages meditation and inner awareness to understand reality.
Video 6 – He Died & Learned We Have It Completely Backwards!
Bill Letson shares his NDE in this video. He mentions a number of things including, “Flying through space past orbs, feeling everything a human wants to feel, with no negatives feelings such as anger, like a cosmic orgasm!”. Also, feeling back where he belonged and that, “All passed loved ones are fine, they are just a bit further down the path than you in the afterlife dimension.” He also discusses life purpose, saying that we are all here for a reason; to live life to the fullest and learn/grow as a soul. He says, “Make those on the other side proud of what you do here.”
An interesting part of Bill Letson’s NDE is when he says he was met by beings that look just like the “small hooded warthog men that look just like the characters from the 1989 movie ‘Communion’”. Described as, ugly hooded aliens, specifically smaller, blue-faced creatures often described as “munchkin-like,” who accompany the taller, classic “Grey” aliens during abduction scenes in the film. They were asking “well how was it?” and laughed at the fact he didn’t remember them. A woman reached out to Letson saying she was taken by these many times as a kid. This also links to ‘blue dwarf aliens’ being said to be seen to take people, including a story of a pregnant woman who they came to see saying they didn’t come for her, but the baby boy (she didn’t know the gender at the time). They also asked her why she looked so scared and she said “because you’re ugly,” and they said “you’ll end up looking like us one day!”. There could be a connection between how Letson was made to feel like one of them and how they said we end up looking like them to the woman. This also links the elites leaving clues to hidden truths in plain sight via mediums like Hollywood movies. More can be read on this via our posts that mention Hollywood here. Here is an image of the “small hooded warthog men”:
Video 7 – Verified Near Death Experiences: Proof of the Afterlife?
This video of Simon Brown on We Don’t Die Radio touches on a number of NDEs and a lot of profound OBEs. This includes a hospital patient that was pronounced dead and when brought with resuscitation, explained in detail a pair of trainers on the roof of the hospital that were completely out of sight, including markings on them where they were worn away and how they were placed. A nurse went up to check and found them as described.
Some stand out example cases:
- 1911 Case (Teen Boy)
- After death, witnessed parents miles away reacting to his death.
- Later accurately described their actions and conversation.
- Hospital Patient (Tybo case)
- Observed hidden medical details, read labels under cabinets.
- Witnessed a nurse’s phone call and even visited her home.
- All details later verified.
- Pam Reynolds Case
- Under deep surgical conditions (flatlined brain, eyes taped, ears blocked).
- Accurately described surgical tools, conversations, and music.
- Maria’s Shoe Case
- Reported a shoe on a hospital roof invisible from her position.
- Later found exactly as described.
- Randy’s COVID Experience
- Met a deceased man during NDE.
- Later identified him as a hairdresser’s grandfather.
- Verified details about his life and home.
Commonalities across resarching NDEs:
- Out-of-body experiences (often observing from above).
- Traveling beyond the body (other rooms, distant places).
- Telepathic awareness (hearing thoughts of others).
- Life reviews (feeling the emotional impact of one’s actions).
- Encounters with spiritual beings or guides.
- Beautiful environments, sometimes including “learning halls” or libraries.
Video 8 – Dr. Bruce Greyson: Near Death Experiences (Jeff Olsen shares his personal NDE)
In this video, Jeff Olsen tells of his NDE that was caused by a car crash. In the crash were also his wife and two kids. His wife and one of his children passed away from the car crash and he was with them in his NDE, but he chose to come back to father the child that was still alive. His NDE included:
- Feeling a sudden calm and presence of light amid chaos.
- Experiencing leaving his body and observing the scene.
- Encountering his deceased wife, who urged him to return.
- Entering a state of profound connection/oneness, feeling he understood others completely.
- Seeing his own body from outside.
- Saying goodbye to his deceased son in what felt like another realm.
Jeff’s beliefs shifted after the NDE:
- From fear-based religion to unconditional love and unity.
- From life is a test to life is a gift.
He now shares his experience to help others heal, emphasizing:
- Love, connection, and compassion.
- Higher consciousness beyond the physical body.
Dr. Bruce Grayson’s Research on NDEs suggests that they are not just close calls with death, but profound psychological and perceptual experiences. They are reported across cultures and history (e.g. ancient texts, global traditions) and scientific research supports that such experiences are real, consistent, and deeply impactful. NDEs point toward a bigger idea; human consciousness extends beyond physical life, and embracing connection, love, and unity could fundamentally change how we live.
Video 9 – David Icke’s Mind-Blowing Explanation For The Bright Light After Death
An interesting counter-take on the visuals seen in NDEs is shared by David Icke. He says that the initial afterlife visions perceived could still be part of this same simulation we experience in life and that we are being manipulated to go to ‘the light’ to encourage reincarnation, but we should ascend this reality to a higher dimension. He also believes that any loved ones that we initially perceive are just projections taken from the Akashic Records (a record stored in another dimension of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred) to encourage us to go towards the light and reincarnation. He doesn’t say that loved ones aren’t waiting for us, but that initial visuals could be manipulations and not true. He touches on this in the 10th video below.
Icke also acknowledges common themes from accounts of Near Death Experiences such as feeling great for leaving the body and reviewing your own life rather than being judged by a God. He then connects this with accounts of those that remember pre-birth experiences. This includes planning your life in detail such as choosing certain personality traits, which he believes can overpower your soul’s personality when incarnated into a human body (so you can have that experience). In knowledge of this, Icke questions karma for actions, as your body has been programmed to act that way and life planned to some extent. In turn, he sees going back to correct karma as a fake idea and reincarnation trap. Caveats argued include that there is still some level of free-will which is a common theme in lessons from NDEs and alleged extraterrestrial encounters.
Icke links some of these ideas with Native American beliefs to not walk straight into the “dazzling bright light”, but to orientate yourself and wait for the right, “warmer light”. Across several Native American traditions, the general theme is, “The soul must not rush toward the first bright phenomenon it sees.” The first “light” may represent confusion, the shock of leaving the body, trickster forces, the land of the dead who are not at peace, the realm of ghosts, or simply the initial disorientation of the spirit leaving the physical world. Instead, the newly departed must wait for true guides (ancestors, spirits, helpers), orient toward the correct direction or trail, choose the proper kind of light (gentle, warm, ancestral) over a blinding or chaotic one. This is conceptually very close to Tibetan, Egyptian, and even some Gnostic afterlife teachings about deceptive or confusing lights. Also, in the Buddhist Saṃsāra reincarnation wheel, it is said one has to ‘be enlightened’ to detach from it.
In addition, in the ‘Emerald Tablets‘, Thoth describes that in the regions reached after death, there exist “shadows” or “dark brothers” who travel only in straight, linear paths. He warns that these beings seek to bind or trap the unprepared soul (this potentially links to Icke’s findings to not walk towards the initial bright light observed after death, as he believes it is a reincarnation trap). Thoth then instructs that by moving in a curved or circular path, one can break free of their line of influence, since the dark beings cannot follow motion that is not straight. He adds that curved motion aligns with the geometry of higher realms, while straight-line movement is characteristic of lower astral entities.
Another theory that links to this is that of John Lear. He suggests that when your soul leaves the body there’s a structure on the moon that sends your soul back to earth to be reincarnated like a reincarnation trap, rather than choosing to reincarnate for more soul growth and life experiences. This links with Icke’s beliefs that the moon and Saturn (Saturn/satellite) influences and generates reality.
Allegedly, some people in secret societies torture each other to point of death through things like freezing the body to induce near death experiences and gain more knowledge of reality, before bringing them back to life.
Video 10 – Professor Dies & Is Shown Truth About Heaven
This video is an interview with Professor Dean Brinson, who died at the hospital and was transported by his spiritual mentor to the Afterlife. He discovered the astral and causal levels of Heaven, his past lives, and the truth about the other side. He was taught about karma and how one can move through these levels. Professor Brinson is also an advocator in diet (he doesn’t eat meat) and how all energy is connected. He has been eating plant-based for decades.

NDEs are compared with other outer-body experiences such as those in DMT experiences. In the video below, Holden Lee says he smoked DMT and met the same entity from his Near Death Experience (NDE), suggesting that this is another realm that isn’t just experienced through DMT (more can be read on this here).
For another perspective, in the video below Dr. Christopher Kerr, a hospice doctor, found that dying patients often experience vivid dreams and visions in their final weeks. These are typically realistic, emotionally powerful, and usually involve loved ones. Rather than being random or frightening, they are mostly comforting and help people process their lives, resolve guilt, and feel at peace.
He emphasizes that this is not the same as near death experiences, since these occur during a gradual dying process rather than temporary clinical death. His research suggests these experiences reduce fear of death and also help families cope with loss by making death feel more meaningful and less final.
Overall, Kerr argues that dying is often a psychological and emotional process of reflection and reconciliation (not just physical decline) and that modern medicine often overlooks this deeper human dimension.
Pre-Birth Memories from Near Death Experiences 💭
A profound Near Death Experience (NDE) that brought back pre-birth memories is that of Aaron Green. Aaron describes an NDE he had shortly before his sixth birthday after suddenly being unable to breathe. As his body collapsed, his consciousness left his body, and he observed events from outside his body. He experienced a rapid, detailed life review in which he not only relived his own emotions, but also felt the emotional impact of his actions on others, especially his parents.
While out of his body, he gained intuitive knowledge through direct understanding rather than spoken communication. He realized he was not his physical body, but a soul (an orb of consciousness) and remembered existing before birth. He recalled originating in a “sea of light” with many other souls, where he chose selflessness by giving up a gift, which led to being selected for further spiritual development. He encountered a powerful creator being (which he calls God, that appeared like a very bright sun and had beings/spirit guides within itself), who explained that souls must freely choose virtues like love, compassion, and honesty through lived experience, rather than being forced into them, because free-will is essential. This links to the meaning of life/life purpose explained in the alleged capture of an extraterrestrial being when asked questions about life (more can be read in this post).
Aaron remembered choosing to incarnate on Earth from many possible planets, feeling strongly that Earth was where he wanted to learn. He also recalled having lived many past lives and working with spiritual guides to plan his current one. Together, they selected his parents, gender, appearance, intelligence, and life challenges to best support his spiritual growth. He initially liked the idea of being a ginger girl, as it was a rarer on Earth to be ginger and he thought it was “a cool look”, but the experiences and growth he needed wasn’t available in this state (he needed to choose different parents and looks). Some hardships, including injuries, were understood as consequences of actions in past lives, not as punishment, but as opportunities to learn from them (why you shouldn’t do them and their effects) and resolve karmic debt.
He was shown that between lives, souls inhabit realms that reflect their inner nature. Loving souls experience pleasant realms, while hateful souls experience unpleasant ones. He remembered having close spiritual friends and a joyful realm he would return to after this life.
Eventually, a being of light told him he must return to his body, and he instantly recovered physically. Later, his guides asked him to agree to forget the experience so he could live his life as intended, promising the memories would return later. Years afterward, reading about Eben Alexander’s near death experience triggered the return of his memories.
The central message Aaron takes from the experience is the meaning of life/our life purpose is to grow as a soul and become more godly; build positive traits love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, integrity, and service to others are essential for spiritual growth and lead to greater happiness beyond this life (then we can ascend to higher realms/before having these soul growth experiences, we are not ready to access higher realms). Life also has great experiences for us to enjoy, but soul growth is the key objective.
An interview of his can be viewed below:
Reincarnation is also a prominent theme in ancient civilizations such as in Ancient Egypt (links with mummification and ascending to Sirius), in religions like Buddhism, and secret societies like the freemasons (who also allegedly have beliefs of ascending to Sirius).
